Communicate 2 clean sweep at Abby's
2001
The Abby's, as they are popularly known, are among India
is most coveted advertising awards given out for exceptionally
creative brand building efforts. This year, the Abby's were presented
amidst much fanfare at Vallabh Bhai Patel stadium near NSCI,
Mumbai. While the gorgeous Manpreet Brar, ace lenseman Atul
Kasbekar and the well known model Boman Irani co-hosted
the show; the who's who of Indian advertising and media industry
were present in the audience, including the Times of India chief
Padeep Guha, O & M creative head Piyush Panday and the animation
guru Ram Mohan.
In
the Interactive Advertising section of the awards, entries
were solicited for two categories - Best Brand Promotion on
the Internet and Best site for a Brand/Company. Communicate
2 bagged the Gold Trophy in both the categories. Their
hilariously original chain promotional application called VJ Disguise,
created for mtvindia.com, was adjudged as the best Brand Promotion
on the Internet, while sonalisa.com, the richly illustrated art
portal housing the best of Indian Paintings, Sculptures, Artifacts,
and Tribal Art, was declared as the Best Indian site for a Brand/Company.
By winning both the Gold Awards in the two Interactive categories
at the recently concluded Abby 2001 Awards, Communicate 2 (formerly
known as Ultimedia Technologies) has once again proven why top
Indian and international brands like MTV, Merrill Lynch, Commerce
One, Home Trade, EsselWorld, United Television and BaaN think
that it s the hottest creative Web solutions company around in India
today.
