advertising industry, which witnessed a growth of just around
7 per cent in 1998-99 and 1999-2000, is expected to grow by over
20 per cent in 2000-01. Figures released by ORG-MARG indicate that
consumer durable companies spent 13 per cent more on advertising
between January and June, 2000, as compared to the same period last
year. Typically, advertising in this segment normally peaks in the
second half of the year. So things are just beginning to heat up
now as far as the ad world is concerned.

certainly created a niche for itself in the industry .
