C class for Mumbai roads
The
Mercedes-Benz India Limited presented the new C Class
to the media in Mumbai. The new C Class has an extensive
package of technical innovations on an unprecedented level; for
its market segment. Never before has so much attention been ever
given to a vehicle in the aspects of safety and comfort as in the
development of the new Mercedes-Benz C class. With the top class
technology it guarantees the maximum of both dynamism and driving
pleasure.
The ability and know how of its engineers have made Mercedes-Benz
the technological leader among the automobile manufacturers. "Proven
and new Mercedes core values makes the new C Class the most attractive
proposition in this market segment", says Juergen Ziegler,
managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India Limited.
"Its dynamic styling, the new powerful engine and the sporty
chassis are all important details that are united in a single aim
of providing maximum driving pleasure. As a result, our customers
benefit from the technical lead of the brand," added
Ziegler.
The new C Class is offered with two engines C 180 petrol version
and C 200 CDI diesel version. The new Mercedes-Benz dealerships
start from May 2001. The ex-showroom price in Mumbai for the introductory
model C180, classic Line, will be Rs.19.9 lakhs. The new C class
too will be manufactured at Mercedes-Benz India's state of art
factory in Pune where already the E and S class cars
are being manufactured.
By launching the new C class, MBIL has lived up towith its promise
to make the latest technology available to the Indian customers
and at the same time, it also reflects the long term commitment
of its parent company, Daimler Chrysler AG has for the Indian market.
