Maruti Launches its Hot Little ALTO

Maruti Udyog Limited began a new chapter in Indian automobile history with the unveiling of their car 'Alto' in two versions, the 796 cc LX and the 1061 cc Alto VX 1.1 . The Alto, which comes in a variety of vibrant colours, boasts advanced technology and unmatched cabin comfort .

According to Mr. Jagdish Khattar, Managing Director, Maruti Udyog Limited, "The Alto LX is the most exciting product ever to have made its debut in the 800 cc segment . Thus while the Maruti 800 will continue to be the principal entry level offering for all aspirants, the Alto will provide the more discerning first time buyer with a car... which is the last word in design, technology and performance in the segment .' According to Mr. J. Sugimori, Director - Marketing and Sales, "The Alto's design, styling, safety, space utilization, performance and pricing, place the car at a distinct advantage."

The Alto will be available in 7 attractive colours. Financing options will be available through Maruti Countrywide and Citicorp Maruti, as well as through a host of other finance companies and banks .

The launch of Alto, a first of its kind multi-media event, comprised a live launch in Delhi and simultaneous telecast/web interaction through cyber-conferencing in other cities across India. The glittering event was transmitted live to invitees at Mumbai, Hyderabad , Bangalore, Chennai and Calcutta through satellite.
