The Fiat Siena 1.6, the ultimate driving machine for the high powered in car-crazy Brazil and South Africa, has been dispatched to Fiat dealerships across India, fresh off Fiat’s state-of-the-art assembly line at Kurla, Mumbai. Popular demand for the Fiat Siena, hitherto in 1.2 - litre petrol and 1.7 - litre diesel versions, has encouraged Fiat to develop a new model with the most powerful 1.6 petrol engine in India today. The latest generation, 16-valve torque engine with 1581cc capacity. “The Siena 1.6, 16-valve, 100 bhp, will further enhance our Fiat Siena's outstanding ride, handling, safety and quality features. Indeed, with the best performing engine in this segment, the Fiat Siena 1.6 will create a new benchmark as far as driving pleasure goes," avers M B Bianchi, Managing Director, Fiat India.

The new 1.6 engine, the Siena’s petrol version is endowed with develops outstanding DIN power to the tune of 98 PS at 5500 rpm, and a DIN peak torque of 137 Nm at 4000 rpm! Its four valve-packed cylinders and twin overhead camshafts and electronic MPI-integrated ignition ensure a really fast top speed of 186 kmph.
