Tinkle, Tinkle TV Star

Comic strips from TinkleVery soon, Kalia, Ramu, Shamu and Chamataka of Tinkle comics fame will hold audiences captive on the television screen. Television producer and actor Sanjay Khan, Numero Uno Limited, has joined hands with Uncle Pai (Anant Pai) and India Book House to bring alive Indian comic characters on the small screen. The programme, which will be aired within the next two months, will feature the popular cartoon characters of Tinkle comics. The challenge is to give the characters a human touch. Khan plans to translate the series into Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and Oriya and later extend its reach to South East Asia and Europe. Negotiations are on with CNS channels and Doordarshan to air the series.The Tinkle Digest

Few children today read Amar Chitra Katha or comics like Tinkle, which not only entertain but also convey a subtle message to young minds. Sanjay Khan and Uncle Pai have taken up the mission to rekindle the Tinkle spirit and create a new channel of infotainment for children.

Dextures, Men in Black and Little Mermaid on Cartoon Network have kids enthralled. Will our desi Tinkle rekindle the spirit of Indianess in young minds?
