Aver Software Technologies Limited, formerly known as Aver Photographic Company Limited has worked on improvising the Indian imaging scenario, ever since its inception in 1983. It has overcome the era of darkroom test-strips by introducing a super-fast range of minilabs. Now the company has specialized in digital imaging technology and offers cost-effective accurate image reproduction, quickly and easily. The various products offered by the company are: Aver Magic Pro, Colex, Durst, Gretag, Microtek, Mirus, Scan Photo Chem, Sienna (Division of Gretag) and Telepix X-Rite.

Aver Photographic Company was started as a partnership firm manufacturing conventional contemporary photographic equipments. Having sound business acumen and expert working knowledge, versatile technical skill and constant urge for updating technology, Aver secured a wide clientele all over India, as well as neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Burma and Sri Lanka. In 1985, for the first time in India, the company introduced the short-leader type film processor on the lines of pioneer Japanese companies.

By the year 1987, Aver had acquired the latest technical know-how, world-class operational expertise and comprehensive infrastructure required for manufacturing computerised integrated mini-labs in India. Harnessing the superior technology and vibrant marketing outlets ensured phenomenal success of Aver ACCS 1200 mini-labs, 450A film processor and R T sheet paper-processors on par with the best imported photographic equipments of well known foreign companies.

In 1992, Aver introduced digital imaging systems in India as sole distributors for Sienna Imaging Inc, USA. A year later, in 1993, the company entered the corporate sector as Aver Photographic Company Limited. Aver then introduced 'Aver Magic,' a high-end image editing software specially designed to suit the requirements of photo labs, studios and graphic designers. One more feather was added to the company's crown with the installation of Lambda-130 (a large format digital imager), which seamlessly prints single-piece mega printouts in the length of 165' with 50" width and even beyond that.

They deal in continuous tone printouts on Duraflex, Duratrans and photographic paper (matt/glossy) to name a few, for applications like bill boards (hoardings), window displays, POPs, exhibition displays, backlit glow signs, etc.

Their clientele include Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA), Interim Test Range (ITR), Department of Space, Ministry of Defense, Government of India, amongst others. Aver diversified its creative and technical manufacturing skills to cope up with ever increasing and comprehensive requirements of Indian as well as overseas imaging market with Aver Media Digital Creativity, Scan Photo Chem, Aver Digital Vision, Photo Blow and 'Aver Magic Pro' image editing software. They are also accredited and authorised distributors in India for sophisticated international digital photographic equipments manufactured by world leaders.
