Unitech Prefab Limited was established in 1993, with a view to bring the latest in construction technology in India. The company is a joint venture between Unitech Limited, a construction giant in India and rates among the top 250 construction companies in the world, Sembawang Resources Ltd an RMC giant in Singapore with operations also in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam; and Comcraft Asia Pacific Pte Limited, a well-diversified group with business interest in 57 countries. Unitech Prefab Limited has pioneered the concept of ready-mix concrete in India and has also ventured into the prefab segment with concrete blocks and concrete pavers.

The company has many firsts to its credit. They are the first company to put transit mixers on the roads of Mumbai and Delhi, first to supply concrete from a centralised RMC plant, first to use graded flyash in RMC in India, first in India to supply high strength concrete of grade M-60 at a slupm of 150-200 mm and the first company in India to supply temperature controlled concrete as low as 20 degree Centrigrade at an ambient temperature of 38 degree Centigrade. It is also the first in India to execute non-stop deliveries of 1500 cubic metres of quality concrete over a distance of 18 kms from the plant for a single foundation.

Their facilities for ready-mix concrete in Mumbai include high capacity Batching plant with computerised central control room, pumps, mobile placing boom, large fleet of transit mixers and latest wireless communication systems fitted on all equipment for quick communication and high level customer service.

The company offers ready-mix-concrete under the brand name of 'Unimix' high quality concrete blocks under the name of 'Uniblock' and 'Unipave' concrete pavers.
