 Usha
Alloys and Steel Division (UASD), a member of the Usha Martin
group, is one of the largest manufacturers of special steel
products in India with a turnover of $245 million in 2000. It supplies
steel to different sectors like automobile, general engineering,
fastners, railways, defence and power.
 Usha
offers an attractive package that will suit your quality and
productivity requirements in a cost-effective manner. Usha's
products range from wires and wire rods to bars and flats in a broad
size, ranging from 5 mm to 450 mm. The products which are manufactured
for auto components have stringent requirements, and vary according
to the category of steel
 The
integrated process route along with strict process control right
from steel making to rolling enables the company to meet exacting
requirements. Usha is equipped with several process options
like rolling from billet, bloom and ingot routes and coil weight
options like 1 and 2 tonnes, state of the art no twist, single line
wire rod mill, and a competence to control microstructure by thermomechanical
rolling to suit heat treatment. Usha possesses 17 sales outlets
and an ever growing export network to meet growing demand.
Usha manufacters steel through mini furnaces viz., arc furnaces.
It boasts of world-class facilities for production and managerial
excellence in order to meet your stringent specifications in the
most economical mode. With ISO 9002 certified quality systems, UASD
has further re-enginneered its range of operations. The philosophy
of ‘total productive maintenance’ for production and ‘enterprise
