'Jeeto Chappar Phaad ke'
- launched in Mumbai
Sony
launched its much awaited game show, 'Jeeto Chappar Phaad
Ke', amidst press and media this week. The show which will be
hosted by 'apna Govinda', touted as the biggest entertainment
blockbuster to hit the small screen. Jeeto Chappar Phaad Ke,
a counter to Star Plus's Kaun Banega Crorepati, is all set
to hit the screen on Republic Day, January 26. The show
will be telecast, every weekend, Friday through Sunday at 8 pm.
KBC's
success has set the trend for game shows involving huge monetary
benefits, specially giving the middle class an opportunity to earn
without any toil. The success of KBC, to a great extend can be accredited,
to the host, the living legend of Indian Cinema, Amitabh Bachchan.
The show has seen the rebirth of a mega star, and that too on the
small screen.
'Jeeto
Chappar Phaad Ke' promises unlimited paisa and unlimited mazaa
- typical Govinda istyle. A show filled with masti, magic
and mazaa, that too thrown in for free. At the end of it, you have
nothing to lose but you can earn a lot of money and walk away with
fabulous goodies ... motorbikes, colour TVs, computers, or cars.
The show promises to be packed with a punch in every episode.
At the launch, Kunal Dasgupta, CEO, Sony Entertainment Television
said, " Sony Entertainment is known to provide the best
in family entertainment across a wide viewer audience. 'Jeeto Chappar
Phaad Ke', spells entertainment and simplicity in every aspect.
The overwhelming response of a million entries received within a
10-day promotion is indicative of the high level of interest the
show has generated, and we are greatly enthused by it."
Some of the famous names in the industry have joined hands, to
create this mega show. Nitin Desai, Bollywood's badshah of
big sets has designed the sets, inside Film City, Goregaon.
The concept of the show was conceived by Ajay Kapoor, Director
of the show, and the quizmaster, Derek O' Brien. Leslie Lewis,
a veteran of many advertising jingles and pop albums, created the
background score.
With so many elements going into the show, it is all left to the
Chote Miyan, Govinda, to live up to his image of being entertainer
no. 1. On the other hand it is a tug of war, between Bade
Miyan, Amitabh Bacchan and Chote Miyan, Govinda.
The show will also mean a battle between Star Plus v/s
Sony. But with all the homework done and completed, the final
verdict lies with the janta.
