  Officer

Officer, is the story of a brave an honest police man, Sagar Chauhan (Sunil Shetty), who takes up an assignment to look after a pretty young lady, married to a much older multimillionaire. Pratap Rai, a tycoon, played by Danny, asks the officer to keep an eye on his mentally depressed wife Meenal Rai (Raveena Tandon).

Meenal lost her interest in life after losing her father in an accident. She even attempted suicide, but Sagar rescued her, and in the process the two strangers become friends. Meenal's fondness for Sagar develops into love. But his rejection to her proposal, triggers off the psychic streak in Meenal, and she eventually commits suicide.

As the story cannot move without the heroine, so the director introduces, Meenal's look alike, Pari. The story enters into lot of intricacies, involving, the officer, the look alike girl and her the tycoon. With Pari's help, Sagar unearths the criminal conspiracy in which he got trapped unknowingly.

The suspense in the story kept the tension mounting, but the director was not so successful in threading so many ends of the story. At the end, the suspense revealed was not at all a surprise for the audience. Officer has an attention grabbing plot, but the Writer-Director, Naeem Sha's screenplay lacks the finesse.

Sunil Shetty, did a very fine job and handled action as well as romantic scenes with equal zeal. Raveena Tandon gives a decent account of herself. As the film was hanging around for quite sometime, so the picturisation was not so appealing. The music was average, with very few numbers to hum. All in all, it is an average movie which is worth a look.
