Hiro Music House is a music cum sound and television equipment store. They have two outlets in the city - at P M Road, Fort and Hill Road, Bandra. The one at Fort is the original shop and is now over 46 years old, while the Bandra branch is over 19 years old. The hardware equipment on offer include component pieces like amplifiers, tuners, micro-component units, speakers such that the music lover can build his system, or get a part of the existing system replaced. They also stock ready systems of all main brands. They have all kinds of music, but do not do too much of regional music. The Bandra shop has some Portuguese selections to suit the tastes of the local shoppers. There are also CDs and VCDs, but no DVDs. They accept all credit cards. The Bandra shop is open from 10 to 8:30 while the Fort shop is open 10 to 7:30.

Rhythm House has been Mumbai's favourite music store for so long that it has now become a city landmark. Located in the heritage precinct of Kala Ghoda, it is over 53 years old. It started in the days of 78 rpm records. Thereafter it moved on to LPs to 45 to cassettes. Today it stocks cassettes, CDs, LDs and DVDs. There are also videos on the shelves. Rhythm House is also a venue for booking of theatre tickets. The shop is open from 10 to 8 (11 to 8 on Sundays) and accepts all credit cards. </p>
