Allure - The Lifestyle Store at Crawford Market
 As
you step into Allure, the complete lifestyle store, you enter
into a world of elegance and charm. Situated at Crawford Market
in Mumbai, the store houses some of the most exclusive designer
items one can imagine. What is most striking about the products
is the fact that they are extremely fashionable and each of the
items have a certain uniqueness of their own. Allure is owned
by Gurlien Manchanda and Pavan Uttam.
 The
store houses candles, wooden and wrought iron furniture, apparels,
glasswork items and vases, which are designed and manufactured by
some of the most internationally renowned designers. The collection
of wrought iron furniture and photoframes by Arzan Khambatta
are exquisitely designed. The American designer, Michael
Aram, who is based in Delhi, has his cutlery on sale at Allure.
Beautifully designed candles made by actress Dimple Kapadia and
her daughter, Twinkle are also available at the store. According
to Catherine Pereira, sales associate, Allure, "Dimple
Kapadia's candles sell a lot and are very popular with the hep crowd
of Mumbai." The pieces are not only eye catching but also
display excellent craftsmanship. Though the prices are a bit stiff,
most of the products are very fashionable. One can also pick up
products from the Bati collection.
When it comes to clothing, both for the men and women, the Ranna
and Biscou Bisou clotheslines are available at the store.
As you walk down the spiral staircase you get to chose from some
of the most ingenious and innovative pieces of woodwork which have
a finish that is hard to find elsewhere. Mirrors, photostands, glassware
and clocks are also on sale. The store is closed on Sundays.
