Treasured Jewels
Owned
by the Malhotra brothers, Rohit, Kapil and Yogesh,
Treasured Jewels have been in the jewelry business for
three generations . The glittering jewelry store, located at the
Oberoi Shopping Arcade, sells mostly set jewelry and 18 carat
gold, studded with precious and semi precious jewels, including
diamonds. With inhouse designers doing the bulk of the work, the
store keeps in mind modern tastes. According toYogesh, Indian Jewelry
has "come of age", and at Treasured Jewels,
the items reflect this.
Yogesh
adds, " Foreigners, particularly Europeans, take a fancy to
Indian designs." Keeping this in mind, the pieces that are
on sale are unique. At Treasured Jewels, special care is
taken to attend to the customers according to their tastes and requirements.
Jewelery is styled according to the specifications of the clients
and is delivered as early as possible. The store caters mostly to
NRIs and foreign tourists. In addition to the jewelry, there are
beautiful statues made of Indian jade and sandal wood. Menakari
work from Rajasthan done on caskets and ornaments is a favourite
with customers.
One
can buy items such as statues and bangles at reasonable prices which
can be as low as Rs. 300. Apart from the Oberoi Shopping Arcade,
Treasured Jewels also has an outlet at the Taj Hotel
by the name of Dell Art Inde, which offers a collection
of contemporary silverware and jewelry.
