What are the concessional facilities in bus fares?

A-1 buses run from World Trade Center to Oshiwara, A4
from Flora Fountain to Ghatkopar and A6 from Nagar Chowk to

Open-Decker
Joyride On Nilambari
In association with Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation
[MTDC], BEST has introduced open-deck rides to heritage monuments
around south Mumbai. The tours are conducted from Gateway of India
and Sachivalaya. The timings for the two tours are: 7:00 pm to 8:00
pm and 8:30 am to 9:30 pm. During the journey, the attention of the
people is drawn to the illuminated buildings of the city like the
Old Secretariat, University of Mumbai, Mumbai High Court, Chhatrapati
Shivaji Terminus, Flora Fountain and others. The buses have 70 seats,
35 each on each deck. The upper deck costs Rs 50/- and lower deck
Rs 10/-. Tourist guides explain the historic importance of the city
on the ride. |

Muncipal Transport Systems
of Satellite Cities
Although BEST operates a number of services to adjoining the satellite
towns of Thane, Mira-Bhayander and Navi-Mumbai, a number of towns
around Mumbai have their own city transport systems.
TMT [Thane Municipal Transport Undertaking] operates in
Thane City, Kalva, Mumbra and Diva.
KDMT [Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Transport] operates in Dombivli,
Takurli and Kalyan.
NMMT [Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport] offers services in
Navi Mumbai, Belapur, Panvel and parts of Thane.

MSRTC [Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation]
Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) is
a state government undertaking, which operates a number of buses
to most destinations within Maharashtra and some other states. The
buses mainly originate from Bombay Central, Parel and Dadar bus
stations. There are also many buses from other neighbouring states
operating from these terminals.
Most of the buses run by MSRTC are not in very good condition,
but Asiad buses, which operate between Pune and Mumbai, are
better than the rest.
