 'GANDHIJI' BY HAKU SHAH 

cymroza-haku : Sketch by Haku ShahCymroza Art Gallery will be the venue of an exhibition of collages and paintings on 'Gandhiji' by Haku Shah. The exhibition will be inaugurated on 2nd October, 2000 by the Friends of Mani Bhavan. It is part of several events connected with Haku Shah that are being held at various venues in the city.

Haku Shah is the creator of 'Shilpa Gram' a village that serves as a museum, art, craft and theatre centre in Udaipur. Born in Valod in Surat district of Gujarat, Haku Shah did his Master's in Fine Arts from M S University, Baroda. He has had many exhibitions of his paintings, photographs, terracottas and textiles as well as held lectures and workshops in India and abroad. He is also the author of several books and journal articles. Now based in cymroza-haku : Sketch by Haku ShahAhmedabad, Haku Shah has been awarded by the 'Padma Shri', 'Kala Ratna', and the 'Kala Gaurav Puraskar'.
