PRADARSHAK
At 60 square feet, Pradarshak easily is the smallest gallery
in India. And quite unapologetic about it. Savita Hira, who owns and
runs the gallery, does not consider the lack of space to be a problem.
In fact, it presents a welcome challenge to artists who are used to
larger galleries and bigger works. Depending upon the sizes of the
work, about 10 to 18 exhibits can be displayed here. Pradarshak is
the result of a passion for art, and is part of the interior design
studio of Lalit Hira. Now 6 years old, the gallery began as a platform
for young and upcoming artists; many of whom had their first solo
shows here. Today it features all manner of artists - established,
lesser known, as well as unknown ones.
